MKV to MP4
Convert Matroska (MKV) videos to MP4 without losing quality
फ़ाइलें निजी तौर पर प्रोसेस होती हैं और 60 मिनट बाद अपने आप हटा दी जाती हैं।
MKV (Matroska) files are common for recorded TV, OBS screen recordings and downloaded videos. They can hold almost any codec, but phones, smart TVs, video editors and social networks often only accept MP4. This MKV to MP4 converter fixes that.
If the video inside your MKV is H.264 or HEVC, it is copied directly into the MP4 file, which is fast and lossless. Audio formats that many MP4 players do not support, such as Opus or FLAC, are converted to AAC automatically.
How to convert MKV to MP4
- Select your MKV file or drag it into the box.
- Keep Keep original for the fastest, lossless result.
- Click Convert and download the MP4.
Why use this MKV to MP4 converter
- Lossless remuxing of H.264 and HEVC video: no quality loss, very fast.
- Automatic audio conversion to AAC when needed.
- Great for OBS recordings before uploading to YouTube, TikTok or Instagram.
- Optional resolution and quality settings for smaller files.
MKV vs MP4: what changes?
Both formats can contain the same H.264 video. MKV supports more audio codecs and multiple subtitle tracks, while MP4 is supported by far more devices and websites. When you convert, the first video track and the first audio track are kept.
Frequently asked questions
Are subtitles from the MKV kept?
No. Subtitle tracks inside MKV files use formats that MP4 cannot always store, so they are not copied. If you have the subtitles as an SRT file, use our Add Subtitles to Video tool.
Which audio track is used if the MKV has several?
The first (default) audio track is kept.
Is converting OBS MKV recordings to MP4 safe?
Yes. OBS records H.264 or HEVC video, which is copied without re-encoding, so the recording stays exactly as it was.
What is the maximum file size?
You can upload up to 500 MB.
