Compress MKV
Shrink MKV recordings and videos
Les fichiers sont traités de manière confidentielle et supprimés automatiquement après 60 minutes.
OBS recordings and other MKV videos are often recorded at a high bitrate and take up a lot of space. This compressor re-encodes them efficiently with H.264 and keeps the MKV format, so they work as before in VLC, Plex and other players.

How video compression works
Compression saves space by describing what changes between frames instead of storing every frame completely, and by removing detail that is hard to see. The compression level controls how much detail is removed. Recordings with lots of motion or fine detail, like games and sports, compress less than talking-head videos or screen recordings.
